My favourite studios in Warsaw

Studios I come back to, grouped by mood — white backdrop, cyclorama, raw concrete, wood, bright interiors.

Bright, soft and luminous — or dark and raw?

That’s the first question I’ll ask you. I go looking for an address only once you’ve answered. I don’t own a studio, and I treat that as an advantage: I start from the mood you’re after, and only then look for the best place.

One space for agency polaroids, another for a summer session in the sun, another for a shoot day for a brand. No single studio can do everything, and Warsaw alone has dozens of options.

I can’t describe them all, so this page covers the studios I often come back to, and answers the most common questions I get before a session.

FAQ

No. That's my part of the work. You tell me what kind of pictures you want, I book a space that can carry it and send you the address with the date confirmation. We settle all of it when we book the date — the same for model tests and private sessions.

Because the date and the studio are one decision, not two. An open slot on its own means nothing — until I know what kind of pictures we're making, I don't know which studio can carry it or when that studio is free. A click-to-book calendar would promise availability I can't confirm before we've talked. So instead of online booking — get in touch, tell me what you want in the photos and roughly when suits you, and I'll come back with a proposed date and place.

Four things I ask about at the start anyway:

  • The mood of the photos — window daylight gives soft, summery frames; studio strobes give strong colour and full control whatever the weather.
  • How many outfits and how many people — two outfit changes and just you is a different space than a shoot day with a brand, a stylist and a crew.
  • Whether there'll be makeup on site — if so, we need a place for makeup with good light so she isn't working in a corner of the set.
  • How you get there — arriving by car with a load of clothes points to a different location than arriving by metro with one bag.

Most studios I work in have a separate dressing room or a screened-off changing area. If a makeup artist is joining us, I book a studio with a place for makeup so she can work in proper light rather than on set.

You get the address and directions from me with the date confirmation, and the day before the session I remind you of them and of the time we agreed on. Some studios have parking on site (Mokotów), others sit in the centre where public transport is easier. If you're driving, say so early — I'll pick a place where you're not circling the block looking for a space.

Yes. If you've seen my photos from a particular place and want the same — we talk, I check availability and book it. If the choice affects the terms of the session, I tell you before booking, not after the shoot.

Outdoors or your own place is an option in almost every session — tell me at the start and we'll plan the pictures around that location. More on shooting outside: outdoor session.

Planning a session? Send me a message or write on Instagram — I'll pick the studio that fits the pictures you want.
